SUBTASK 27-21-94-020-005
(1) Make sure that the manual override lever [2] on the rudder valve motor [4] is in position 2.

(2) Put the rudder valve motor [4] on the shutoff valve [1].
(a) Make sure the rudder valve motor [4] is engaged with the valve cam [3].

(3) Install the screws [6] which attach the rudder valve motor [4] to the shutoff valve [1].

(4) Before you connect the electrical connector [5], examine the connector for corrosion.
WARNING: DO THE STEPS BELOW IF THE AIRPLANE OPERATES AT AIRPORTS WHERE
DEICING FLUID THAT CONTAIN POTASSIUM FORMATE IS USED. ALSO DO THE
STEPS FOR ALL AIRPLANES THAT YOU FOUND CORROSION IN THE
ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS IN THE MAIN WHEEL WELL. THE ELECTRICAL
CONNECTOR IS PART OF A SYSTEM THAT IS NECESSARY FOR SAFE FLIGHT.
(a) If there was corrosion, refer to (SWPM 20-60-03) to correct the problem.
(b) Apply the D5026NS or ZC-026 compound, G50171 to the connector (SWPM 20-60-03).

(5) Connect the electrical connector [5] to the rudder valve motor [4].

(6) Do this task: Put the Rudder Systems A, B, and Standby Back to the Condition Before the
Pressure Removal, TASK 27-21-00-840-802.

(3) Remove the screws [13] and washers [12] which attach the shutoff valve [1] to the standby flight
controls hydraulic module [9].

CAUTION: DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID GET ON EQUIPMENT. IF HYDRAULIC FLUID GETS ON
EQUIPMENT, IMMEDIATELY CLEAN IT FROM THE EQUIPMENT. HYDRAULIC FLUID
CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(4) Put a container below the shutoff valve [1] to catch hydraulic fluid.

(5) Carefully turn and pull directly up on the shutoff valve [1] to remove it from the standby flight
controls hydraulic module [9].

(6) Put a cover on the standby flight controls hydraulic module [9] to keep dirt out.
