(7) Install the rig pin R-3 or R-4 from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585 in the forward rig pin hole of the
captain’s or first officer’s rudder forward quadrants (Figure 401).
F. Rudder Feel and Centering Unit Removal
(Figure 402)
SUBTASK 27-21-82-020-001
(1) Remove the rudder feel and centering unit [7]:
(a) Remove the nut [27], washer [26], nut [25], washer [24], and bolt assembly [23] to
disconnect the feel and centering unit [7] from the rudder trim actuator [1].
(b) Remove the nut [33], nut [32], washer [31], washer [30], bushing [29], and bolt assembly [28]
to disconnect the feel and centering unit crank [8] from the feel output rod [9].
(c) Remove the nuts [6], washers [5], and bolts [4] which attach the upper bearing housing [2]
and plate [3] to the airplane structure.
(d) Hold the rudder feel and centering unit [7] and remove these parts from the support bracket
[18]:
1) Remove the nuts [22], washers [21], washers [20], and bolts [19].
