WARNING: MAKE SURE THE GROUND LOCKS ARE INSTALLED ON ALL OF THE LANDING GEAR.
WITHOUT THE GROUND LOCKS, THE LANDING GEAR CAN RETRACT AND CAUSE
INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Make sure the ground locks are installed at the nose and main landing gear. To install them, do
this task: Landing Gear Downlock Pins Installation, TASK 32-00-01-480-801.

(2) Make sure that all cowls on the engine are closed.

(3) To get access to the main electronics equipment compartment, do this step:

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ACCESS THE P91 PANEL AND POWER IS SUPPLIED TO THE
PANEL. THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD. POSSIBLE INJURY
TO PERSONNEL AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(4) Get access to the R318 relay for the system B EMDP on the aft side of the P91 power distribution
panel.
NOTE: The P91 power distribution panel is in the main equipment center.
The pump 3-phase wire is also accessible in the wheel well area.

(5) Put the current meter, COM-2531 or clamp meter, COM-3837 around one of the three wires from
the R318 relay.

(6) Install the test box, SPL-1805 on the rudder PCU.
(a) To gain access to the main rudder PCU, do this step:

(c) Verify that all the toggle switches on the test box are in the OFF position.
(d) Disconnect the D291 connector from the rudder PCU.
(e) Connect the P1 connector of the test box to the rudder PCU.
(f) Connect the J1 connector of the test box to the D291 connector.
(g) Remove the safety tags and close these circuit breakers:

(7) Make sure that both of the IRS switches on the P5 panel are in the NAV position.

(8) Cycle the flight contols to warm the hydraulic fluid.
(a) Do this task: Supply Electrical Power, TASK 24-22-00-860-811.
NOTE: If you use a ground cart for electrical power, it must supply a voltage of 114 to 116
volts ac at 400 +/- 5 Hz. Do not operate other electrical equipment during this test.
(b) Pressurize the system A and B hydraulic reservoirs. To pressurize it, do this task:
Hydraulic Reservoirs Pressurization, TASK 29-11-01-860-801 or Hydraulic Reservoirs
Pressurization, TASK 29-09-00-860-801.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
SURFACES. THE AILERONS, RUDDER, ELEVATOR, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS,
LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY. THIS CAN
CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(c) Pressurize the hydraulic systems A and B with the electric motor-driven pump. To
pressurize them, do this task: Hydraulic System A or B Pressurization,
TASK 29-11-00-860-801.
