(21) Put the RUDDER TRAVEL DIRECTION switch, on the test box, SPL-1805, in the OFF position.
NOTE: The green indicator light on the test box should go off. The rudder might move slowly to
the right or left as much as 3 degrees.

(22) Put the YAW DAMPER POWER switch, on the test box, SPL-1805, to the OFF position.
NOTE: The red indicator light should go off.

H. Rudder PCU Internal Leakage Check (Hydraulic System A)

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ACCESS THE P92 PANEL AND POWER IS SUPPLIED TO THE
PANEL. THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD. POSSIBLE INJURY
TO PERSONNEL AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(1) Get access to the R317 relay for the system A EMDP on the aft side of the P92 power distribution
panel.
NOTE: The P92 power distribution panel is in the main electronics equipment compartment.

(2) Put the current meter, COM-2531 or clamp meter, COM-3837 around one of the three wires that
go forward from the R317 relay.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE RUDDER AND
THE PCU ACTUATORS. THE RUDDER AND PCU ACTUATORS MOVE QUICKLY. THIS

(3) Put the FLT CONTROL A switch in the ON position.
NOTE: Make sure FLT CONTROL B switch is in the ON position.

(4) Put the YAW DAMPER POWER switch, on the test box, SPL-1805, to the ON position.
NOTE: The red indicator light on the test box should come on. The rudder might move slowly
to the right or left as much as 3 degrees.

(5) Put the RUDDER TRAVEL DIRECTION switch on the test box to the LEFT position.
NOTE: The green indicator light on the test box should come on and the rudder should move to
the left unless it is already at the left position.
