SUBTASK 27-11-94-420-001
(1) Install the trim control module assembly [22]:
(a) Connect the three electrical connectors to the trim control module assembly [22].
(b) Put the trim control module assembly [22] on the P8 panel.
(c) Install the four fasteners [12].

(2) Remove the safety tags and close these circuit breakers:

(1) Remove the rudder trim knob [2]:
(a) Loosen the screws [3] from the rudder trim knob [2].

(b) Remove the rudder trim knob [2] from the rudder trim switch shaft [5].

(2) Remove the fasteners [4] to remove the lightplate [1].

(3) Do these steps to remove the rudder trim switch [9]:
(a) Bend the tab down on the washer [8].
(b) Remove the locknut [7], washer [8], and washer [17] from the rudder trim switch shaft [5].
(c) Remove the rudder trim switch [9] from behind the baseplate [6].
(d) Remove the shims [16] from the rudder trim switch shaft [5].
1) Make sure the locknut [15] is installed on the rudder trim switch shaft [5].
NOTE: The locknut [15] is installed on the rudder trim switch shaft [5] with the correct
torque value. For correct operation of the rudder trim switch [9], do not move
the locknut [15].

(4) Do these steps to remove the aileron trim switches [11]:
(a) Remove locknuts [21] and washers [20] from the aileron trim switches [11].
(b) Remove the aileron trim switches [11] from behind the baseplate [6].
(c) Remove the washers [19] and locknuts [18] from the aileron trim switches [11].
(d) Disconnect the electrical wires from the aileron trim switches [11].

(b) Install locknuts [18] and washers [19] on the aileron trim switches [11].
(c) Put the aileron trim switches [11] up through the baseplate [6].
(d) Install the washers [20] and locknuts [21] on the aileron trim switches [11].

(2) Do these steps to install the rudder trim switch [9]:
(a) Install the shims [16] on the rudder trim switch [9].
1) Use the necessary number of shims [16] to get a dimension of 1.156-1.169 inch (29.36-
29.69 millimeters) from the top of the baseplate [6] to the end of the rudder trim switch
shaft [5].
(b) Put the rudder trim switch [9] up through the baseplate [6].
(c) Install the washer [17], washer [8] and locknut [7] on the rudder trim switch shaft [5].
