(d) Tighten the locknut [7] to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).
(e) Bend the tab on the washer [8] over the the flat of the locknut [7].
NOTE: Small deformation of the star washer [8] is permitted.

(4) Install the rudder trim knob [2]:
(a) Make sure the surfaces between the rudder trim knob [2] and the lightplate [1] are free of
contaminates.
(b) Put the rudder trim knob [2] fully down on the rudder trim switch shaft [5].
(c) Make sure the rudder trim knob [2] is 0.010-0.050 inch (0.25-1.27 millimeters) from the top of
the lightplate [1].
(d) Install the set screws [6] on the rudder trim knob [5].
(e) Tighten the set screws [6] on the rudder trim knob [5].

(5) Do this task: Aileron and Rudder Trim Control Module Installation, TASK 27-11-94-400-801.

(6) If you replace the rudder trim switch [9], do this task: Rudder Trim System Test,

(a) Connect the electrical connector to the rudder trim indicator [14].
(b) Put the rudder trim indicator [14] on the baseplate [6].

(a) Remove the fasteners [13] that attach the rudder trim indicator [14] to the baseplate [6].
NOTE: Do not disconnect the electrical connector.
(b) Turn the adjustment screw on the bottom of the rudder trim indicator [14] until the indicator
is at 0.0 ±0.1 unit.
(c) Install the rudder trim indicator [14] to the baseplate [6] with the fasteners [13].
