CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU HOLD THE MAIN RUDDER PCU [1] DURING THE REMOVAL
OF THE FORWARD MANIFOLD [11]. THE PCU CAN FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE
TO THE MAIN RUDDER PCU [1].
(4) Remove the nut [27], washer [26], nut [25], washer [24], washer [34], bushing [23], and bolt
assembly [22] to disconnect the forward manifold [11] from vertical fin structure.

(5) Install the lock, SPL-1727 to hold the rudder in its position.

(6) Disconnect the electrical connectors [9] from the main rudder PCU [1].

(7) Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the main rudder PCU [1].
(a) Put a 1 U.S.-gal (3.81 l) oil resistant container, STD-203container below the hydraulic
connections.
(b) Disconnect the return line hydraulic system A [12] from the main rudder PCU [1].
(c) Disconnect the pressure line hydraulic system A [21] from the main rudder PCU [1].
(d) Disconnect the return line hydraulic system B [14] from the main rudder PCU [1].
(e) Disconnect the pressure line hydraulic system B [13] from the main rudder PCU [1].
(f) Install the plugs and caps to the hydraulic lines and ports.
(g) Install a tag on the hydraulic lines to make sure you install them correctly.

(8) Use a 200 pounds (90.7 kilograms) fishpole to remove the main rudder PCU [1] from the airplane.
