Do this task to supply electrical power: "Manual Control" (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(2)
Make sure the flight interphone system operates (AMM 23-51-00/501).
(3)
Make sure the integrated display system operates (AMM 31-61-00/501).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags, and close these circuit breakers:

(5) Set the EIU select switch on the captain's and the first officer's source select panels to AUTO.
(a) Make sure the primary flight displays (PFDs), for the captain and the first officer, come on.
NOTE: You may have to adjust the brightness of the displays.
____ The control knobs are located in the left and the right corners of the glareshield.

Set the APP selector switch on one of the audio control panels to MKR.

Push in the button to the left of the APP selector switch.

Push in the SPKR button for the flight compartment speakers.

Put the test set approximately 15 feet away from the marker beacon antenna.
NOTE:____Make sure you get a marker beacon signal. You might need to move the test set nearer to the marker beacon.
E. Marker Beacon System Test

(1) Operate the test set to supply a 75 MHz test signal with 400 Hz modulation:
(a) Make sure that a cyan OM shows on the two PFDs.

(b) Make sure that a 400 Hz sound can be heard through the flight interphone system.

(2) Operate the test set to supply a 75 MHz test signal with 1300 Hz modulation:
(a)
Make sure that a yellow MM shows on the two PFDs.
(b)
Make sure that a 1300 Hz sound can be heard through the flight interphone.

(3) Operate the test set to supply a 75 MHz test signal with 3000 Hz modulation:
(a)
Make sure that a white IM shows on the two PFDs.
(b)
Make sure you hear a 3000 Hz sound through the flight interphone.
F. Put the Airplane to Its Usual Condition

Put away the test set.

If electrical power is not necessary, do this task to remove electrical power: "Manual Control" (AMM 24-22-00/201).
