 BE CAREFUL WITH THE DRIVE ASSEMBLY DURING INSTALLATION. CAREFULLY INSTALL THE DRIVE ASSEMBLY TO PREVENT INJURY TO YOU OR DAMAGE TO THE DRIVE ASSEMBLY.
 CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE A GOOD GASKET IS INSTALLED BETWEEN THE WAVEGUIDE FLANGES. A DAMAGED GASKET OR NO GASKET WILL POSSIBLY CAUSE ANTENNA DAMAGE.
 (a) (b) (c) (d) (e) (f)  Put the antenna drive on the two top mount bolts on the antenna.Put the two lower bolts and washers through the antenna and the mount.Tighten each of the four mount bolts between 220-245 inch-pounds.Install screws and washers in the waveguide flanges of the drive assembly and waveguide section 1.Connect the electrical connector DB143A to the antenna connector J1.Connect the electrical connector DB143B to the antenna connector J2.
 (4)  S 434-057Install the planar array (AMM 34-43-03/401).
 (5)  S 864-087Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers: (a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel 1) 7C7, WXR L RT 2) 7C19, WXR R RT
 (6)  S 734-058Do the weather radar operational test or the ground test (AMM 34-43-00/501).
 (7)  S 734-059Do the Antenna Tilt Test in the Weather Radar System - Adjustment Test (AMM 34-43-00/501).
 (8)  S 734-060Do the Stabilization Test in the Weather Radar System -Adjustment/Test (AMM 34-43-00/501).

 WEATHER RADAR WAVEGUIDE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This subject has two tasks. The first task is for the removal of the weather radar waveguide (waveguide). The second task is for the installation of the weather radar (WXR) waveguide. The WXR waveguide removal has these parts.
 (1)  
Open the nose radome

 (2)  
Remove the WXR waveguide section(s).

 B.  The WXR waveguide installation has these parts.
 (1)  
Install the WXR waveguide section(s)

 (2)  
Do a test of the weather radar system

 (3)  
Close the nose radome.

 C.  Access to these areas is necessary when the waveguide sections are removed or installed:
 (1)  
Sections 1 and 2 - Access to the nose radome

 (2)  
FREIGHTERS; Sections 2, 3, 4 and R/T feeder waveguide sections- Access below the floor compartment at station 200

 D.  The waveguide sections are removed when the flange screws and the support clamps are removed. Replace defective gaskets between flanges.
 NOTE: Supply sufficient body axis movement to disconnect the
____ waveguide flanges. Loosen the support clamps on other sections to supply sufficient movement toward a flexible section.
