 5)  The WXR RANGE DISAGREE message will be displayed when the EFIS control panel range and the weather radar R/T range disagree.
 6)  The MAP/WXR RANGE DISAGREE message will be displayed when there are differences in range between the EFIS control panel, weather radar R/T, and FMC.
 7)  The AUTOTILT FAIL message will be displayed when the WXR antenna tilt mode is set to AUTO and the general input bus 1 from the Ground Proximity Warning Computer is inactive or is sending invalid data. When this condition occurs, the WXR R/T sets the tilt value on label 055 (ARINC 453 bus) to -15.5 degrees to indicate AUTOTILT FAIL.
 D.  System Self-Test (Fig. 12)
 (1)  Three self-tests are used to test and fault isolate the weather radar and are described as follows:
 (a)  By positioning the weather radar control panel mode selector switch to TEST.

 (b)
By initiating a ground test through the CMC using a CDU.

 1)  A ground test under CDU/CMC test control provides an alternate weather radar self-test. The test signal to the R/T is momentary so that a test pattern is not generated. The test does cycle the weather radar self-test circuits and sends back a reply to the CMC which is displayed on the CDUs as PASS or FAIL.

 (c)  
By initiating the self-test using the LCD on the front of the receiver/transmitter.


 (2)  The self-test using the control panel is initiated when the mode selector switch is placed to TEST. Self-test of the weather radar system is described as follows:
 (a)  
During the self-test operation the transmitter transmits for less than one second to verify proper operation of the transmitter then turns off. A test pattern will be present on both ND's.
