WEATHER RADAR RECEIVER/TRANSMITTER MOUNT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. PASSENGER AIRPLANES; This subject has two tasks. The first task is for the removal of the weather radar receiver/transmitter mount (R/T mount). The second task is the installation of the R/T mount. The removal has these parts:
(1)
Remove the left receiver/transmitter
(2)
Remove the right receiver/transmitter
(3)
Remove the main static inverter.
(4)
Remove the R/T mount.
B. PASSENGER AIRPLANES;
Installation has these parts:
(1)
Install the R/T mount
(2)
Install the left receiver/transmitter
(3)
Install the right receiver/transmitter
(4)
Do a test of the weather radar system.
C. FREIGHTERS; This subject has two tasks. The first task is for the removal of the left or right weather radar receiver/transmitter mount (R/T mount). The second task is the installation of the left or right R/T mount. The removal has these parts:
(1)
Remove the left or right receiver/transmitter
(2)
Remove the left or right R/T mount.
D. FREIGHTERS;
Installation has these parts:
(1)
Install the left or right R/T mount
(2)
Install the left or right receiver/transmitter
(3)
Do a test of the weather radar system.

2. PASSENGER AIRPLANES; Receiver/Transmitter Mount Removal (Fig. 401)

A. General
(1) The R/T mount (B139) is attached to the E30-1 upper shelf on the E30 equipment rack (E30 rack). The E30 rack is in the right crawlway forward of the main equipment center. To remove the R/T mount, you must electrically and mechanically disconnect it from the E30 rack.
B. Special Tools and Equipment
NOTE: Use the correct insertion/extraction tool found in one of the two
