CAUTION: PERMIT 9 MINUTES FOR THE GYRO TO STOP AFTER THE REMOVAL OF THE
_______ ELECTRICAL POWER. REMOVAL OF THE STANDBY ATTITUDE INDICATOR BEFORE THE GYRO STOPS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE GYRO.
ATTACH THE DEVICE THAT LOCKS THE KNOB ON THE FRONT OF THE INSTRUMENT. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE GYRO IN THE INSTRUMENT WHEN NOT INSTALLED ON THE AIRPLANE.
(2) Do these steps to remove the standby attitude indicator:
(a)
Pull the knob out from the face of the indicator and install the lock device to cage the standby attitude display.
(b)
Loosen the two larger indicator clamp screws adjacent to the indicator.

CAUTION: CAREFULLY REMOVE THE INDICATOR FROM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.
_______ THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLES AT THE REAR OF THE INDICATOR.
(c)
Pull the indicator from the instrument panel to get to the electrical connector.
(d)
Disconnect the electrical connector DN138 from the indicator.

(1) Make sure these circuit breakers are open with the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags attached:
(a)

3) 6L1 FLT DECK LIGHT STBY INST

(2) Do these steps to install the standby attitude indicator:
(a) Connect the electrical connector DN138 to the indicator.
CAUTION: CAREFULLY INSTALL THE INDICATOR INTO THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.
_______ THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLES AT THE REAR OF THE INDICATOR.
(b)
Install the indicator into the instrument panel.
(c)
Tighten the indicator clamp screws.
