3. VOR/LOC Antenna Switch Installation

A. General
(1)
There are three VOR/LOC antenna switches installed in the E1 electronics equipment rack in the main equipment center. They are installed on the left end of the No. 6 shelf. The equipment numbers are B63 for the left, B64 for the right, and B299 for the center VOR/LOC antenna switches.
(2)
The installation procedures are the same for each VOR/LOC antenna switch.

(1) Make sure these circuit breakers are open with DO-NOT-CLOSE tags attached:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7D22 ILS ANT SW L
2) 7D23 ILS ANT SW C
3) 7D24 ILS ANT SW R

(2) Install VOR/LOC antenna switch:
(a)
Align the VOR/LOC antenna switch to the holes in the No. 6 shelf
(b)
Install the screws to attach the VOR/LOC antenna switch to the shelf
(c)
Connect the coaxial cables and the electrical cables to the VOR/LOC antenna switch and hand tighten them.

(3) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7D22 ILS ANT SW L
2) 7D23 ILS ANT SW C

(4) S 714-024Test the VOR/LOC antenna switch: (a) Do the Prepare for the System Test and the VOR/LOC parts of the ILS System Test (Ref 34-31-00/501).
(5) S 864-025If electrical power is not necessary, do this task to remove electrical power: Manual Control (AMM 24-22-00/201).

GLIDE SLOPE ANTENNA COAXIAL RELAY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This subject has two tasks. The first task is the removal of the glide slope antenna coaxial relay. The second task is the installation of the glide slope antenna coaxial relay. Parts of the ILS System Test must be done after the installation of a glide slope antenna coaxial relay.

2. Glide Slope Antenna Coaxial Relay Removal_________________________________________
A. General
(1)
There are three glide slope antenna coaxial relays installed on the forward side of the P31 panel STA 400 bulkhead. The equipment numbers are B404 for the left, B405 for the right, and B119 for the center coaxial relays.
(2)
Relay B405 is installed on top of relay B119. To replace one of the two relays, both are removed. Relay B404 is attached to the bottom of the P31 panel.

(1) Location Zone 115 Area Between Nose Gear Well and Fuselage, LH
C. Procedure

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7D22 ILS ANT SW L
2) 7D23 ILS ANT SW C
3) 7D24 ILS ANT SW R
S 024-023
(2) Remove the center or the right glide slope coaxial relay:
(a) Disconnect the coaxial cables and the electrical connector from the relay(s)
