 TASK 34-43-07-004-014
 3.  FREIGHTERS; Waveguide Switch Removal (Fig. 401A)________________________
 A.  General
 (1)  The waveguide switch is attached to the waveguide switch support below the floor compartment between station 180 and 200. To remove the waveguide switch you must electrically and mechanically disconnect it.
 B.  Access
 (1)  Location Zone
 112 Freighter Main Deck-Nose to First Door,Left
 C.  Procedure
 S 864-015
 (1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
 (a)  P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) 7C7 WXR L RT
 2) 7C19 WXR R RT

 S 014-016
 (2) Get access to the waveguide switch below the compartment floor.
 (a)  
Release the 18 fasteners that hold the cargo floor panel.

 (b)  
Remove the cargo floor panel.

 S 024-017
 (3)  Remove the waveguide switch.
 (a)  
Disconnect the electrical connector DB139 on the waveguide switch.

 (b)  
Remove the four screws, washers and a gasket that attach the left feeder waveguide to the waveguide switch.

 (c)  
Remove the four screws, washers and a gasket that attach the right feeder waveguide to the waveguide switch.

 (d)  
Hold the waveguide switch and remove four screws and lockwashers from waveguide section 4 that mates with the waveguide switch.

 NOTE: The screws go through the holes in the waveguide switch
____ support bracket into the waveguide switch.

 (e)  Remove the waveguide switch from the waveguide switch support.

Put dust caps on the electrical connectors.

Put dust caps on the waveguide flanges.

 A.  General
 (1)  The waveguide switch is installed on the rear of the R/T mount that is attached to the E30 equipment rack (E30 rack). Access to the E30 rack is through the right crawlway forward of the main equipment center.

Make sure these circuit breakers are open with the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags attached:

P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel

 2) 7C19 WXR R RT

 (b)  
P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6K2 MN BAT CONT INVERTER PWR
 2) 6K5 TRU - CONT INVERTER PWR

 

 (2)  
Remove the cover from the waveguide switch.
