(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7C7 WXR L RT
2) 7C19 WXR R RT

PASSENGER AIRPLANES; Open the access door to the 117AL electronics compartment to get to the R/Ts (AMM 06-09-01/201).

FREIGHTER AIRPLANES; Get access to the receiver/transmitter below the compartment floor.
(a) Release the 18 fasteners that hold the cargo floor panel.
WARNING: STEP ONLY ON THE FLOOR BEAMS WHEN YOU REMOVE CARGO FLOOR
_______ PANEL. THE FLOOR PANELS BETWEEN THE BEAMS CAN FLEX WHEN STEPPED UPON AND CAN CAUSE YOU TO FALL. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE WEATHER RADAR EQUIPMENT OR BLANKET MATERIAL CAN OCCUR.
WARNING:_______THE CARGO FLOOR PANEL IS HEAVY. TO PREVENT INJURY, TWO PEOPLE ARE REQUIRED WHEN LIFTING OR MOVING THE CARGO FLOOR PANEL.
CAUTION: DO NOT PUSH OR PULL THE CARGO FLOOR PANEL ACROSS THE FLOOR
_______ BEAMS. THIS ACTION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BLANKET MATERIAL.
(b) Carefully remove the cargo panel.

(4) PASSENGER AIRPLANES; Do this task to remove the R/T from the R/T mount: Rack Mounted Electrical/Electronic Module - Removal (AMM 20-11-22/401).
CAUTION:_______HOLD THE R/T AWAY FROM THE LOWER E30 SHELF. IF THE R/T TOUCHES THE UNITS INSTALLED IN THE LOWER E30 SHELF, THE R/T COULD DAMAGE THIS EQUIPMENT.
(a)
Make sure the removed R/T does not touch any of the electrical equipment on the lower E30 shelf.
(b)
Put a dust cap on the electrical connector/waveguide flange on the left R/T mount (DB138) or the right R/T mount (DB140).
(c)
Put a dust cap on the electrical connector/waveguide flange on the left R/T (DB138) or the right R/T (DB140).

(5) FREIGHTER AIRPLANES; Remove the receiver/transmitter from the left or the right R/T mount below the floor compartment between stations 180 and 220.
(a)
Loosen and disengage the R/T holddown knobs.
(b)
Remove the left R/T from the left R/T mount.
(c)
Remove the right R/T from the right R/T mount.
