5) When the test pattern has completed the scan on the NDs, the self test is completed.
(o)
Make sure the test pattern on each ND is as follows: 1) A green color band is at the bottom of the test pattern 2) A yellow color band is above the green band 3) A red color band is above the yellow band 4) A magenta wedge is in the center.
(p)
If WXR radar failures occur a WXR message and a WXR LRU message will be shown on the NDs. 1) Refer to the weather radar BITE procedures in the fault
isolation manual (FIM).
(q)
If external failures occur, an antenna tilt code message(s) will show in place of the 0 degrees antenna tilt message on the NDs (See Fig. 502). 1) The tilt code messages on Fig. 502 identify which external
LRU if faulty. 2) Refer to the weather radar BITE procedures in the fault isolation manual (FIM).

(3) Do a test of the antenna TILT control on the WXR control panel:
(a)
Make sure the TILT mode select switch is in the MAN position.
(b)
Set the mode selector switch on the WXR control panel to the WX position.
(c)
Turn the antenna TILT control on the WXR control panel between +15 and -15 degrees in 5 degree incements. 1) Make sure the ND tilt messages follow the TILT control:
(d)
Set the TILT mode select switch to AUTO.
1) Make sure the AUTOTILT FAIL status message does not appear on the Capt or F/O Nav displays.
(e)
Pull the Ground Proximity Warning Computer (GPWC) circuit breaker D9 on the overhead circuit breaker panel P7. 1) Make sure the AUTOTILT FAIL message appears on the Capt and
F/O Nav displays.
(f)
Set the TILT mode select switch to the MAN position.
1) Make sure the AUTOTILT FAIL message on the displays goes out.

Push in the D9 circuit breaker on the overhead P7 panel to re-activate the GPWC.
(h)
Set the SYS switch on the WXR control panel to the R position.
(i)
Turn the antenna TILT control on the WXR control panel between +15 and -15 degrees in 5 degree increments. 1) Make sure the ND tilt messages follow the TILT control.
(j)
Set the TILT mode select switch to AUTO.
1) Make sure the AUTOTILT FAIL status message does not appear on the Capt or F/O Nav displays.
(k)
