5) Mode selector switch - TEST
Set the captain's and the first officer's ND brightness
controls as follows:
1) Outer knob - middle position
2) Inner knob - middle position
Set the switches and the controls on the captain's and the
first officer's EFIS control panel as follows:
1) WXR switch/indicator - off
2) Mode selector - VOR
3) Range - 40
4) L ADF/VOR - OFF
5) R ADF/VOR - OFF
6) AIRPLANES WITH PREDICTIVE WINDSHEAR ACTIVE; TERR switch - off
Set the switches on the captain's source select module as
follows:
1) EIU switch - AUTO
2) IRS switch - L
Set switches on the first officer's source select module as
follows:
1) EIU switch - AUTO
2) IRS switch - R
Set the captain's and the first officer's display transfer
module switches as follows:
1) INBD CRT - NORM
2) LWR CRT - NORM
Set the EICAS select panel switches as follows:
1) EIU select switch - AUTO
2) LWR BRT control - middle position
Open these circuit breakers.
1) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel a) 7C7 WXR L RT b) 7C19 WXR R RT

WEATHER RADAR CONTROL PANEL - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General

A. This subject has two tasks. The first task is for the removal of the weather radar (WXR) control panel. The second task is for the installation of the WXR control panel.
B. The WXR control panel (B142) is installed in the aft electronics control stand P8.
