E. Standby Attitude Reference System Test

(1)
Operate the test set at an ILS frequency that gives vertical and lateral deviation signals that are on course (Ref 34-31-00/501).

Make sure that the warning flags are out of view and the deviation bars are in the center.

Change the lateral test signal to the left side and to the right side. Make sure the lateral deviation bar freely follows the signal.

Change the vertical test signal up and down. Make sure the vertical deviation bar freely follows the signal.

Remove the lateral test signal. Make sure the lateral deviation bar retracts from view.

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is for the removal of the standby attitude indicator. The second task is for the installation of the standby attitude indicator.
B. The standby attitude indicator (N138) is installed on the pilots' center instrument panel (P2).
