 (6)  S 864-032Tune the ILS receiver to an ILS frequency with the left or right CDU (Ref 34-31-00/501).
 (7)  S 714-040Do the receiver BITE test:
 NOTE:____ The receiver ground test can replace the BITE test. The receiver ground test is part of the "Operational Test - Instrument Landing System" (Ref 34-31-00/501).
 (a)  Push a TEST key on the front of the receiver and look for this sequence: 1) TEST IN PROGRESS shows on the LCD display. 2) TEST COMPLETE NO FAILURES shows on the LCD display.
 (8)  S 864-034If electrical power is not necessary, do this task to remove electrical power: Manual Control (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 LOCALIZER ANTENNA - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General

 A.  This subject has two tasks. The first task is the removal of the localizer antenna. The second task is the installation of the localizer antenna. Parts of the ILS System Test must be done after the installation of the localizer antenna.

 2.  Localizer Antenna Removal (Fig. 401 and Fig. 402)

 A.  General
 (1)  
There are two localizer antennas installed in the nose radome. The left and right dual localizer antenna (B65) is below the weather radar antenna. The center dual localizer antenna (B295) is above the weather radar antenna.

 (2)  
The removal procedures are the same for each antenna.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THE WEATHER RADAR POWER IS OFF AND THE ANTENNA CANNOT
_______ SCAN. INJURY TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR IF THE WEATHER RADAR TRANSMITS OR IF THE ANTENNA IS PERMITTED TO SCAN.
 (1)  Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
 (a)  P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) 7A6 NAV RADIO MMR L
 2) 7B6 NAV RADIO MMR C
 3) 7B17 NAV RADIO MMR R

 (2)  Do this task to open the nose radome: Open Nose Radome (Ref 53-52-01/201).

 (3)  Remove the localizer antenna:
 (a)  
Remove the screws that attach the antenna to the airplane structure

 (b)  
Pull the antenna away from the bulkhead to get to the coaxial connectors. The coaxial connectors are found on the aft side of the antenna

 (c)  
Disconnect the coaxial connectors from the antenna. The connector numbers are DB65A and DB65B for the bottom antenna. The connector number is DB295A for the top antenna.

 3.  Localizer Antenna Installation (Fig. 401 and Fig. 402)______________________________
 A. General
 (1)
