Do this task to remove the right WXR R/T from the E5 rack: Weather Radar Receiver/Transmitter Installation (AMM 34-43-02/401).

 (5)  
Remove the left and/or the right R/T mount:

 (a)  
Disconnect the electrical connector DB139 from the blower assesmbly.

 (b)  
Put dust caps on the disconnected blower assembly connctors.

 (c)  
Remove the four screws, washers and a gasket that attach the left and right feeder waveguide to the R/T mount waveguide.

 (d)  
Left R/T mounts:

 

 1)  Remove all ground wires from ground terminal GDB138 on the R/T mount using an insertion/extraction tool. (WDM 20-20-11)
 NOTE: Use the insertion/extraction tool for a Burndy
____ terminal block with part number YHLZG8-1.
 2) Remove the two top and two bottom screws,nuts and washers that attach connector DB138 to the R/T mount. 3) Carefully remove connector DB138 from the R/T mount.
 (e)  Right R/T mount:
 1)  Remove all ground wires from ground terminal GDB140 on the R/T mount using an insertion/extraction tool. (WDM 20-20-11)
 NOTE: Use the insertion/extraction tool for a Burndy
____ terminal block with part number YHLZG8-1.
 2) Remove the two top and two bottom screws,nuts and washers that attach connector DB140 to the R/T mount. 3) Carefully remove connector DB140 from the R/T mount.
 (f)  Remove the four screws, washers and nuts which attach the R/T mount to the E5( ) shelf assembly.

 (g)  Remove the R/T mount from the E5 shelf assembly.

Put a cover over connector DB138 or DB140 that is lint free for protection of the electrical and waveguide section.

 4.  PASSENGER AIRPLANES; Weather Radar R/T Mount Installation (Fig. 401)

 A.  General
 (1)  The R/T mount (B139) is attached to the E30-1 upper shelf on the E30 equipment rack (E30 rack). The E30 rack is in the right crawlway forward of the main equipment center. To install the R/T mount, you must electrically and mechanically connect it to the E30 rack.
 B.  Special Tools and Equipment
 NOTE: Use the correct insertion/extraction tool fround in one of the two
____ crimp tool kits shown below. See crimp tool kit connector index.
