 MULTI MODE RECEIVER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This subject has two tasks. The first task is the removal of the multi mode receiver. The second task is the installation of the multi mode receiver.
 B.  The CMC shows a SHOP FAULTS menu selection for the left, right, and center receivers. These receivers do not give the shop faults data to the CMC.
 NOTE: Do not try to get the SHOP FAULTS data from these

 receivers.

 2.  Receiver Removal

 A.  General
 (1)  
There are three receivers in the E1 electronics equipment rack in the main equipment center. The left receiver is on the No. 2 shelf. The center receiver is on the No. 3 shelf. The right receiver is on the No. 4 shelf.

 (2)  
The removal procedures are the same for each receiver.

 (a)  P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) 7A6 NAV RADIO MMR L
 2) 7B6 NAV RADIO MMR C

 CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONDUCTORS ON THE ILS
_______ RECEIVER. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE FROM YOUR BODY CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ILS RECEIVER.
 (2)  
Do this task to remove the applicable receiver from the E1 electronics equipment rack: Rack-Mounted Electrical/Electronic Module Removal (Ref 20-11-22/401).

Install dust caps on the electrical connectors.
