(1) Do a CDU alternate EFIS control panel test.
WARNING: DO NOT OPERATE THE WEATHER RADAR WHILE FUEL IS ADDED OR
_______ REMOVED FROM THE AIRPLANE. DO NOT TRANSMIT RF ENERGY WHILE FUEL IS ADDED OR REMOVED IN AN AREA 200 FEET OR LESS OF THE ANTENNA. THIS CAN CAUSE AN EXPLOSION.
DO NOT OPERATE THE WEATHER RADAR IN A HANGAR OR OTHER ENCLOSURE. MAKE SURE NO PERSONS ARE IN THE AREA 15 FEET OR LESS FROM THE ANTENNA WHEN IT TRANSMITS RF ENERGY. RF ENERGY CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(a)
Set the WXR switch/indicator on each of the EFIS control panels to the on position.
(b)
Set the mode selector switch on the WXR control panel to the TEST position. 1) Make sure the two NDs show a WXR test pattern (Fig. 501).

(c) Push the WXR switch/indicator on each of the EFIS control
panels to the off position.
1) Make sure the WXR test pattern on the two NDs are removed.
(d) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
1) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
a) 7F11 EFIS CONT L
b) 7F16 EFIS CONT R
(e) Push the MENU key on the left CDU to show the MENU.
(f) Push the line select key (LSK) on the left CDU that is adjacent
to <EFIS CP to show the EFIS CONTROL.
(g) Push the line select key (LSK) on the left CDU that is adjacent
to <OPTIONS.
(h) Push the LSK on the left CDU that is adjacent to <WXR.
1) Make sure a test pattern shows on the captain's ND.
(i) Push the LSK on the left CDU that is adjacent to <WXR again.
1) Make sure the test pattern on the captain's ND is removed.
(j) Push the MENU key on the right CDU to show the MENU.
(k) Push the line select key (LSK) on the right CDU that is
adjacent to <EFIS CP to show the EFIS CONTROL.
(l) Push the line select key (LSK) on the right CDU that is
adjacent to <OPTIONS.
(m) Push the LSK on the right CDU that is adjacent to <WXR.
1) Make sure a test pattern shows on the first officer's ND.
(n) Push the LSK on the right CDU that is adjacent to <WXR again.
1) Make sure the test pattern on the first officer's ND is
removed.
(o) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
1) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
a) 7F11 EFIS CONT L
b) 7F16 EFIS CONT R
(p) Set the WXR switch/indicator on each of the EFIS control panels
to the on position.
1) Make sure a test pattern shows on the captain's and the
first officer's NDs.
(q) Set the SYS switch on the WXR control panel to the R position.
1) Make sure the two NDs show a WXR test pattern (Fig. 501).
(r) Push the WXR switch/indicator on each of the EFIS control
panels to the off position.
1) Make sure the WXR test pattern on the two NDs are removed.
(s) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
1) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
a) 7F11 EFIS CONT L
b) 7F16 EFIS CONT R
(t) Push the MENU key on the left CDU to show the MENU.
(u) Push the line select key (LSK) on the left CDU that is adjacent
to <EFIS CP to show the EFIS CONTROL.
(v) Push the line select key (LSK) on the left CDU that is adjacent
to <OPTIONS.
