 a) Make sure the intensity of the targets near the airplane increase. 5) Turn the TILT control to 0 degrees.

 (d)  If no more tests of the weather radar are necessary, Do the Weather Radar System Shutdown Task.

Do a test of the weather radar stabilization with the CMC and CDU:


 WARNING: DO NOT OPERATE THE WEATHER RADAR WHILE FUEL IS ADDED OR
_______ REMOVED FROM THE AIRPLANE. DO NOT TRANSMIT RF ENERGY WHILE FUEL IS ADDED OR REMOVED IN AN AREA 200 FEET OR LESS OF THE ANTENNA. THIS CAN CAUSE AN EXPLOSION.
 DO NOT OPERATE THE WEATHER RADAR IN A HANGAR OR OTHER ENCLOSURE. MAKE SURE NO PERSONS ARE IN THE AREA 15 FEET OR LESS FROM THE ANTENNA WHEN IT TRANSMITS RF ENERGY. RF ENERGY CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
 (a)  
On the WXR control panel: 1) Make sure the TILT mode select switch is set switch to MAN. 2) Set the mode selector to the WX position. 3) Turn the antenna TILT control to 0 degrees.

 (b)  
Set the captain's IRS source select switch to the L position.

 (c)  
Set the IRS-C switch on the IRS mode select panel to ALIGN.

 (d)  
On a CDU: 1) Push the MENU key on the CDU to show the MENU. 2) Push the line select key (LSK) that is adjacent to <CMC to


 show the CMC MENU. 3) If <RETURN shows after you push the LSK, push the LSK that is adjacent to <RETURN until you see the CMC MENU. 4) Push the LSK that is adjacent to <GROUND TESTS to show the GROUND TESTS menu. 5) Push the NEXT PAGE key until you find <34 INERTIAL REFERENCE.

 6)  Push the LSK that is adjacent to <34 INERTIAL REFERENCE the GROUND TESTS menu for the inertial reference system.
 7)  Push the LSK that is adjacent to the <IRU-L.
 8)  When the test PRECONDITIONS page shows, make sure each instruction on the page is completed.
 9)  Push the LSK that is adjacent to START TEST>.
