 G.  Preconditions
 S 865-263
 (1)  These conditions are necessary for this task:
 (a)  
Electrical Power on (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (b)  
Integrated Display System (IDS), serviceable (AMM 31-61-00/501).

 (c)  
Central Maintenance Computer (CMC), serviceable (AMM 45-10-00/501).

 (d)  
Flight Interphone System, serviceable (AMM 23-51-00/501).

 (e)  
Autopilot/Flight Director System (AFDS), serviceable (AMM 22-10-00/501).

 (f)  
Nose Gear Up Sensor, seviceable (AMM 32-61-02/201).

 (g)  
Inertial Reference System (IRS), serviceable (AMM 34-21-00/501).

 (h)  
Flight Management Computer System (FMCS), serviceable (AMM 34-61-00/501).

 (i)  
Radio Altimeter System, serviceable (AMM 34-33-00/501).

 (j)  
Air Data System, serviceable (AMM 34-12-00/501).

 (k)  
Control Display Unit (CDU), installed (AMM 34-61-02/401).

 (l)  
Standby Attitude Reference System, serviceable (AMM 34-24-00/501).


 H.  Prepare for the System Test
 S 865-249
 (1)  Do the prepare for the system test:
 (a)  
Put the ramp test set in the front of the nose radome and set the output: 1) RF FREQ - approved test frequency 2) RF LEVEL - middle scale 3) MODULATION - as follows:

 a) 30 percent at 1020Hz (ident tone)
 b) 20 percent for the localizer 90 and 150 Hz tones
 c) 40 percent for the glide slope 90 and 150 Hz tones.


 (b)  
Make sure the inertial reference system is aligned in the NAV mode (Ref 34-21-00/201).

 (c)  
Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:


 1)  P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel a) 7A6 NAV RADIO MMR L

 b) 7B17 NAV RADIO MMR R c) 7B6 NAV RADIO MMR C
 (d)  
Open these circuit breakers:

 1)  P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel a) 7D22 ILS ANT SW L b) 7D24 ILS ANT SW R c) 7D23 ILS ANT SW C

 (e)  
Set the EIU source select switch on the captain's and the first officer's source select module to the AUTO position.

 (f)  
Push the STAT switch on the EICAS display select panel to show the status message page on the auxiliary EICAS display.

 (g)  
Set the mode select switch on the captain's and the first officer's EFIS control panels to the APP position.

 (h)  
Set the APP switch on the standby attitude/ILS indicator to the APP position.

 (i)  
Set the HDG (heading) on the AFDS mode control panel to the heading of the airplane.

 (j)  
Prepare the CDU to do the system test: 1) Push the NAV RAD key on the CDU to show the NAV RADIO page on the display. 2) Put the approved test frequency and the actual airplane


 heading into the CDU. 3) Push the LSK that is adjacent to the ILS frequency display. 4) Make sure these results occur:
 a) The PFDs and the NDs show the test frequency. b) ILS L shows on the captain's ND as the source receiver. c) ILS R shows on the first officer's ND as the source
 receiver.
 I.  Localizer Antenna Test
 S 735-243
 (1)  Do the localizer antenna test:
 (a)  
Use a ramp test set to supply a localizer test signal.

 (b)  
Adjust the output of the ramp test set to supply a signal that is on-course.

 (c)  
Make sure these results occur: 1) The PFDs and the NDs show the test frequency. 2) ILS L shows on the captain's ND as the source receiver. 3) ILS R shows on the first officer's ND as the source

 receiver. 4) The LOC deviation pointer on the PFDs and the NDs shows on-course. 5) The lateral deviation pointer comes into view and is in the center of the standby attitude/ILS indicator.

 (d)  
Adjust the output of the ramp test set to supply a signal that is two dots in the left direction.

 (e)  
Make sure these results occur: 1) The LOC deviation pointer on the PFDs moves two dots in the left direction.


 2)  The LOC deviation pointer on the NDs moves two dots in the left direction.
