(2) Remove the control panel.
(a) Disengage the quick-release fasteners on the control panel.
CAUTION: CAREFULLY REMOVE THE CONTROL PANEL FOR THE P8 AFT
_______ ELECTRONICS CONTROL PANEL. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLES AT THE REAR OF THE CONTROL PANEL.
(b)
Pull the control panel carefully out from the control stand to get to the electrical connectors.
(c)
Disconnect electrical connectors DB142A and DB142B from the control panel.

(1) Make sure these circuit breakers are open with DO-NOT-CLOSE tags attached:
(a)
P6 Main Power Distribution Panel 1) 6L1 FLT DECK LIGHT STBY INST 2) 6E22 FLT DK LIGHTS PANEL CONT STAND
(b)
P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7C7 WXR L RT
2) 7C19 WXR R RT

Remove the dust caps from the electrical connectors on the control panel and the airplane connectors.

(3)
Install the control panel.
(a) Connect the electrical connectors DB142A and DB142B to the control panel.
CAUTION: CAREFULLY INSTALL THE CONTROL PANEL INTO THE P8 AFT
_______ ELECTRONIC CONTROL PANEL. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRONIC CABLES AT THE REAR OF THE CONTROL PANEL.
(b)
Install the control panel in the aft electronics control stand P8.
(c)
Engage the quick-release fastener on the control panel.

(6) S 714-016Do the self-test part of the operational test or the ground test (AMM 34-43-00/501).
(7) S 864-020If it is not necessary, remove electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
