C. Procedure

(1) Make sure these circuit breakers are open with DO-NOT-CLOSE tags attached:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7C7, WXR L RT
2) 7C19, WXR R RT

(2) Remove dust caps from the airplane and antenna electrical connectors and waveguide flange.
NOTE: Replace the gasket if it is defective.

(3) Install the weather radar antenna:
WARNING: DURING AN ANTENNA INSTALLATION, USE TWO PERSONS AND A
_______ SAFELY INSTALLED WORKSTAND. THE ANTENNA WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 25 POUNDS.
BE CAREFUL WITH THE ANTENNA DURING INSTALLATION. CAREFULLY INSTALL THE ANTENNA TO PREVENT INJURY TO YOU OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ANTENNA.
(a)
Put the antenna on the two top mount bolts and lower the antenna until it is on the top mount bolts.
(b)
Put the two bottom bolts and washers through the antenna and the mount.
(c)
Tighten all four mount bolts to 220-240 pound-inches.
(d)
Attach the quick disconnect between the waveguide Section 1 and the antenna waveguide.
(e)
Connect the electrical connector DB143A to the antenna connector J1.
(f)
Connect the electrical connector DB143B to the antenna connector J2.

(4) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7C7, WXR L RT
2) 7C19, WXR R RT

(5) Do the weather radar operational test or the ground test
(AMM 34-43-00/501).
