WARNING: MAKE SURE THE WEATHER RADAR POWER IS OFF AND THE ANTENNA CANNOT
_______ SCAN. INJURY TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR IF THE WEATHER RADAR TRANSMITS OR IF THE ANTENNA IS PERMITTED TO SCAN.
(1) Make sure these circuit breakers are open with DO-NOT-CLOSE tags attached:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7A6 NAV RADIO MMR L
2) 7B6 NAV RADIO MMR C
3) 7B17 NAV RADIO MMR R

(2) Clean the mating surfaces of the antenna and airplane structure (Ref 20-11-14/701):
CAUTION:_______APPLY THE SOLVENT TO MATING SURFACES ONLY. MAKE SURE YOU RUB OFF THE SOLVENT FROM OTHER SURFACES. IF THE SOLVENT STAYS ON A SURFACE FOR A LONG TIME, IT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE FINISH.
(a)
Apply aliphatic naphtha TT-N-95 solvent to the mating surfaces of the antenna and the airplane structure with a clean BMS 15-5 cloth. Use light pressure (Ref 51-21-03/701)
(b)
Use a clean cloth and clean the surface again
(c)
Do these two steps until the metal of the mating surfaces is bright, clean, and dry.

(3) Apply a layer of BMS 3-23 corrosion-preventive compound to the mating surfaces (Ref 51-24-13/701).

(4) S 424-026Install the localizer antenna: (a) Connect coaxial connectors to the antenna (b) Align the antenna to the screw holes, which mount the antenna to the bulkhead (c) Install the screws to attach the antenna to the bulkhead.
(5) S 764-027Measure the resistance between the antenna plate and the nose radome (Ref 20-22-01/601). The resistance must be 0.01 ohm maximum.
(6) S 864-028Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers: (a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel 1) 7A6 NAV RADIO MMR L 2) 7B6 NAV RADIO MMR C 3) 7B6 NAV RADIO MMR R
(7) S 714-029Test the localizer antenna: (a) Do the Prepare for the System Test and the Localizer parts of the ILS System Test (Ref 34-31-00/501).
(8) S 864-030If electrical power is not necessary, do this task to remove electrical power: Manual Control (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(9) S 414-031Do this task to close the nose radome: (Ref 53-52-01/201). Close Nose Radome
