(2) If it is supplied, remove system B hydraulic power, do this task: Hydraulic System A or B Power
Removal, TASK 29-11-00-860-805.
NOTE: If system B hydraulic power is supplied, the flaps and slats will operate during the
adjustment.

(3) Remove the side cover [3] from the lower right side of the control stand [7] (Figure 201):
(a) Remove the screws [5] and the pocket assembly [6] from the side cover [3].
(b) Loosen the two lower screws [8] for the upper side cover [1] on the right side of the control
stand [7].
(c) Remove the screws [4] that attach the lower side cover [3] to the control stand [7].
(d) Remove the lower side cover [3] from the control stand [7].
NOTE: It is necessary to move the lower side cover [3] down, away from the upper side
cover [1].

(4) To get access to the FSEU on the E1-1 shelf in the main equipment center, do this
task.(Figure 202).

E. Flap Control Lever Position Sensor Adjustment

(1) Move the flap control lever to the 10-unit position.

(2) Use the FSEU to find the output of the flap control lever position sensor [20]:
(a) Push the ON/OFF button on the front panel of the FSEU to turn on the display.
(b) Push the down arrow until OTHER FUNCTNS? shows on the display.
(c) Push the YES button to select OTHER FUNCTNS? on the FSEU.
(d) Push the down arrow until I/O MONITOR? shows on the display.
(e) Push the YES button to select I/O MONITOR? from the menu.
(f) Push the down arrow until SYNCHRO INPUTS? shows on the display.
(g) Push the YES button to select SYNCHRO INPUTS? from the menu.
(h) Make sure the LVR POS shows in the limit of 52.3 to 52.9 degrees.

(3) If the output of the position sensor [20] shown on the FSEU is not in the limit, adjust the position
sensor [20] (Figure 201):
(a) Loosen the screws [19] that attach the flap control lever position sensor assembly [2] to the
control stand [7].
(b) Put a 1/4 inch square drive in the drive slot on the position flap control lever sensor
assembly [2].
(c) Carefully turn the position sensor assembly [2] until the FSEU shows the LVR POS in the
limit of 52.3 to 52.9 degrees.

(d) Tighten the screws [19].
(e) Remove the 1/4 inch square drive from the drive slot.
(f) Make sure the LVR POS shows in the limit of 52.3 to 52.9 degrees.

(4) Do this task: Flap Control Lever Position Sensor System Test, TASK 27-51-06-730-802.
F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(1) Push the ON/OFF button on the front panel of the FSEU to turn it off.

(2) For the main equipment center, do this task.

(3) Install the side cover [3] on the lower right side of the control stand [7]:
(a) Put the side cover [3] in its position on the control stand [7].
NOTE: The lower side cover [3] goes under the upper side cover [1].
(b) Install the screws [4] that attach the side cover [3] to the control stand [7].
(c) Tighten the lower screws [8] that attach the upper side cover [1]
(d) Install the pocket assembly [6] with the screws [5] on the side cover [3].
