WARNING: SUPPORT THE AFT FLAP ASSY WHEN YOU REMOVE THE BOLTS [36]. WHEN
YOU REMOVE THE LAST BOLT [36], THE AFT FLAP ASSY CAN TURN FREELY ON
THE ROLLERS. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO
EQUIPMENT.
(d) At the remaining aft flap tracks [14], remove the pins [41], nuts [40], washers [39], washers
[37], bolts [36] and bushings [38] that attach the aft flap tracks [14] to the aft flap
assembly [2].
(e) Move the aft flap tracks [14] and aft flap track [13] forward, away from the aft flap
assembly [2].
(f) Move the trailing edge of the aft flap assembly [2] down, until it is perpendicular to the main
flap [1] and disengage the rollers [21] from the outboard programming track [20] and the
inboard programming track [28].

(1) If you will not install the same aft flap assembly [2] and main flap [1], make sure the inboard and
outboard rollers [21] are in the nominal position (Figure 401):
(a) The outboard roller [21] is in the nominal position when the locking cutout [27] is 81.8 ±10.0
degrees from the lower cutout [26] on the cartridge [18].
(b) The inboard roller [21] is in the nominal position when the locking cutout [27] is 83.6 ±10.0
degrees from the lower cutout [26] on the cartridge [29].
(c) If the rollers [21] are not in the nominal position, adjust the position of the rollers [21]:
