SUBTASK 27-51-16-420-001
(1) If the downstop is not installed on the aft flap track [2], do these steps:
(a) Install the bolt [11], bushings [9], washer [10], washer [7] and nut [8] on the aft flap track [2].
(b) Tighten the nut [8] to 50-75 pound-inches (5.7-8.4 newton-meters).

(2) Install the aft flap track [2] in the main flap [1]:

(a) Carefully put the aft flap track [2] in its position in the aft flap track support [6] in the main
flap [1].
NOTE: Make sure the downstop is forward of the forward cartridge assemblies [5].
(b) Apply a layer of sealant, A00247 to the mating surface of the cartridge assemblies [3] and
cartridge assemblies [5] and the aft flap track support [6].
(c) Put the cartridge assemblies [3] and cartridge assemblies [5] in their position in the aft flap
track support [6].
(d) Install the nuts [4] that attach the cartridge assemblies [3] and cartridge assemblies [5] to
the aft flap track support [6].

(3) Do this task: Inboard Aft Flap Installation, TASK 27-51-12-400-801.
NOTE: It is necessary to do the aft flap adjustment after you install the aft flap.
F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

INBOARD FLAP SUPPORT FAIRING - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the forward fairing for the outboard flap support on the inboard flap.
(2) An installation of the forward fairing for the outboard flap support on the inboard flap.
(3) A removal of the aft fairing for the outboard flap support on the inboard flap.
(4) An installation of the aft fairing for the outboard flap support on the inboard flap.

(1) This task is applicable to the forward fairing on the No. 3 and No. 6 flap supports.
