1) Make sure the stabilizer leading edge does not move.
2) Release the left stabilizer trim control switch.
(e) Push and hold the right stabilizer trim control switch on the applicable control wheel to the
NOSE UP position.
1) Make sure the stabilizer leading edge does not move.
2) Release the right stabilizer trim control switch.
(f) Push and hold the right stabilizer trim control switch on the applicable control wheel to the
NOSE DOWN position.
1) Make sure the stabilizer leading edge does not move.
2) Release the right stabilizer trim control switch.

HORIZONTAL STABILIZER INTERLOCK RELAY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the horizontal stabilizer interlock relay.
(2) An installation of the horizontal stabilizer interlock relay.
B. The horizontal stabilizer interlock relay is referred to as the R850 relay or relay in this procedure.

(1) Location Zones
(a) Body Station 887 to Body Station 907.
C. Prepare for the Removal

(1) Open this circuit breaker and install safety tag:

(2) Remove the overhead sculpted panels from the following locations:
(a) In the main cabin between STA 887 and STA 907.
D. R850 Relay Assembly Removal

(1) Remove the relay by doing the following:
(a) Remove the screws and washers that attach the relay assembly to the J11 panel.
(b) Remove the electrical connector from the relay assembly.
1) Remove the R850 relay from the airplane.
