(15) Remove the rig pin from the crankshaft [3] if it is necessary.

(16) At the outboard flap support, connect the crankshaft [3] to the aft flap drive rod [10] (Figure 401):
(a) Use the crankshaft [3] to manually extend the aft flap assembly [2] until the crankshaft [3]
aligns with the aft flap drive rod [10].
(b) Install the bolt [4], washer [5], bushing [6], washer [7] and nut [8] that attach the crankshaft
[3] to the aft flap drive rod [10].
NOTE: Make sure the head of the bolt [4] is on the inboard side.
(c) Tighten the nut [8] to 30-50 pound-inches (3.4 to 5.6 newton-meters).
(d) Install the pin [9] through the nut [8].
H. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(1) Do this task: Trailing Edge Flap System Reactivation, TASK 27-51-00-440-801.

(2) Retract the trailing edge flaps to the retracted position. To retract the flaps, do this task: Retract
the Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-804.

1. General
A. This procedure contains a task to do an inspection of the attachment points for the inboard aft flap.
The attachment points are the aft flap drive rods and the aft flap tracks.

(1) Do this task: Inboard Aft Flap Removal, TASK 27-51-12-000-801.

(2) Use these tools to do a check for wear on the part of the inboard aft flap:
(a) micrometer (0-1 Inch, readable to 1/1000 Inch), STD-1096
(b) readable to 1/1000 inch vernier 0 - 6 inch caliper, STD-1097.

(3) Examine the parts of the inboard aft flap (Table 601):
(a) Remove the parts that you will measure.
(b) Measure the parts with a micrometer (0-1 Inch, readable to 1/1000 Inch), STD-1096 or a
readable to 1/1000 inch vernier 0 - 6 inch caliper, STD-1097.
(c) Compare the dimensions you measured with the permitted wear dimensions.
(d) If the parts are not in tolerance, replace or repair the parts.
