(5) Connect the aft flap drive rods [11] to the drive rod attach fittings [10] (Figure 401):
(a) Move the aft flap drive rod [11] to its position on the drive rod attach fitting [10].
(b) Apply a layer of grease, D00633 to the inside of the bushing [6] and the shank of the bolt [4].
(c) Install the bushing [6], bolt [4] and washer [5] to attach the aft flap drive rod [11] to the drive
rod attach fitting [10].
NOTE: Install the bolt [4] with the head on the inboard side.
(d) Carefully clean the grease, D00633 from the threads of the bolt [4]
(e) Install the washer [7] and nut [8] on the bolt [4].
(f) Tighten the nut [8] to 65-100 pound-inches (7.4-11.2 newton-meters).
(g) Install the cotter pin [9] in the nut [8].

(6) Connect the skew control rods [3] to the inboard carriage [13] and the outboard carriage [13]:
(a) Apply compound, C00913 to the shank and threads of the bolts [14].
(b) Move the skew control rod [3] to its position on the carriage [13].
(c) Install the bolts [14], washers [15], bushings [16], washers [17] and nuts [18] that attach the
skew control rod [3] to the carriage [14].
NOTE: Install the bolts [14] with the heads toward the center of the track.

(7) Do this task: Outboard Trailing Edge Flap Adjustment, TASK 27-51-21-820-801.
NOTE: This task will include the installation of the deflection control roller assembly [29].
I. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(5) If the trailing edge flaps are not in the retracted position, do this task: Retract the Trailing Edge

OUTBOARD TRAILING EDGE FLAP - ADJUSTMENT/TEST
1. General
A. This procedure has an adjustment of the outboard trailing edge flap.
B. This procedure includes the adjustment of the main flap with the aft flap with the aft flap either
removed or installed.
C. The adjustment instructions included in this procedure are included in the Rigging Diagram - Inbd
and Outbd Flaps, Wing Trailing Edge 113A3017.
