WARNING: MAKE SURE THE DOWNLOCK PINS ARE INSTALLED ON ALL THE LANDING GEAR.
WITHOUT THE DOWNLOCK PINS, THE LANDING GEAR CAN RETRACT AND CAUSE
INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(5) If the downlock pins are not installed in the nose and main landing gear, do this task: Landing
Gear Downlock Pins Installation, TASK 32-00-01-480-801.

(6) Move the LE cruise depressurization valve to the closed position (Figure 204):
NOTE: It will be necessary to use the FSEU to operate the LE cruise depressurization valve.
(a) To get access to the main equipment center, do this task.
Open this access panel:

(b) Push the ON/OFF button on the front panel of the FSEU to turn on the display.
NOTE: The display will show EXISTING FAULTS?
(c) Push the NO button until OTHER FUNCTNS? shows on the display.
(d) Push the YES button to select OTHER FUNCTNS? on the FSEU.
(e) Push the YES button to select SET OUTPUTS? from the OTHER FUNCTNS? menu.

(f) Push the YES button to select LE DEPR VALVE? from the SET OUTPUTS? menu.
(g) Push the YES button at the SET ON? display to change the position of the LE cruise
depressurization valve.
NOTE: This will drive the valve to the closed position. The FSEU will automatically
change the position of the valve back to the open position after approximately 75
seconds.

(7) Move the manual override handle on the LE cruise depressurization valve to the OFF position
(Figure 205):
NOTE: Do not force movement of the manual override handle with tools.
(a) Remove lockwire from the manual override handle on the LE cruise depressurization
valve.
(b) Move the manual override handle to the OFF position.
(c) If you cannot move the manual override handle on the LE cruise depressurization valve,
then make sure the leading edge and trailing edge surfaces are fully retracted. Then use
the FSEU to operate the valve again.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU USE A 0.316 INCH (8.03 MM) RIG PIN IN THE CRUISE
DEPRESSURIZATION VALVE HANDLE. A SMALLER RIG PIN CAN PERMIT THE
LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS TO MOVE IF HYDRAULIC POWER IS
SUPPLIED. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE.
(d) Install a 0.316 inch (8.03 mm) rig pin in the manual override handle to keep the handle in the
OFF position.
(e) Attach a DO-NOT-REMOVE tag on the rig pin.

(8) Install the lock, SPL-1675 to prevent the operation of the standby hydraulic system (Figure 205).
(a) Make sure the ALTERNATE FLAPS ARM switch is in the OFF position.
(b) Disconnect the electrical connector from the leading edge standby drive shutoff valve.
(c) Make sure the manual override lever at the leading edge standby drive shutoff valve is in
position 1.
WARNING: MAKE SURE TO INSTALL THE GROUND LOCK ON THE STANDBY HYDRAULIC
MODULE TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL STANDBY SYSTEM OPERATION OF THE
LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS. THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS CAN
MOVE QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO
EQUIPMENT.
(d) Install the lock, SPL-1675 on the standby hydraulic module.
(e) Install the lockpin.
I. Trailing Edge Flap Operation With Primary Control
NOTE: Make sure you do the Disable the Leading Edge Slats part of this task before you operate
the trailing edge flaps.

WARNING: KEEP PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT CLEAR OF THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND
SLATS. IF THE LEADING EDGE FLAPS AND SLATS ARE NOT IN THE RETRACTED
POSITION, THEY WILL RETRACT WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN
CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
