STABILIZER TRIM LIMIT SWITCHES - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of a stabilizer trim limit switch
(2) An installation of a stabilizer trim limit switch.
B. The stabilizer trim limit switch is referred to as the "limit switch" in this procedure.
C. There are three limit switches (S144, S145, and S844) and two stabilizer takeoff warning switches
(S132 and S546) on the brackets along the stabilizer jackscrew.
D. This procedure is applicable to all three limit switches.

(1) Open this circuit breaker and install safety tag:

(2) To get access to the limit switch, do this step:

(3) Move the stabilizer until the cam is not in contact with the limit switch.
D. Limit Switch Removal
SUBTASK 27-41-94-020-001
(1) Remove the limit switch [1]:
(a) Disconnect the limit switch [1] wire from the wire connection.
(b) Remove the locknut [4] and washer [3] which attach the limit switch arm [5] to the limit
switch [1].

(c) Remove the lockwasher [6] and retainer nut [7] which attach the limit switch [1] to the
bracket assembly [2].
(d) Remove the limit switch [1] from the bracket assembly [2].

D. Limit Switch Installation
SUBTASK 27-41-94-420-001
(1) Install the limit switch [1]:
(a) Install the limit switch [1] through the bracket assembly [2].
(b) Install the retainer nut [7] and lockwasher [6] to attach the limit switch [1] to the bracket
assembly [2].
(c) Torque retainer nut [7] to 15 in-lb (2 Nm) to 25 in-lb (3 Nm).
(d) Install lockwire on retainer nut [7].
(e) Turn the limit switch arm [5] to the approximate position for installation but make sure that
it does not touch the cam.
(f) Put the limit switch arm [5] on the limit switch [1] to engage the serrations.
(g) Install the washer [3] and locknut [4].
1) Tighten the locknut [4] by hand.
NOTE: You will tighten the locknut [4] after you adjust the limit switch [1].
(h) Connect the limit switch [1] wire at the wire connection.
