4) Move the flap control lever [7] through its full travel 25 times.
5) Put the flap control lever [7] in the rigged position with the rigging block.
6) Install the clamp to hold the quadrant [6] against the aft side of the stop [5] on the flap
control unit [4].
(e) Use the turnbuckles [3] to adjust the tension in the cables [1] WFA and WFB to the limit
shown in (Table 501).
NOTE: During the adjustment, make sure the tension in the cables [1] is never less than
50 pounds (23 kilograms).
NOTE: To make sure the tension is correct, the temperature of the airframe must be
constant in the limit of ±5 degrees for a minimum of one hour.
(f) Remove the clamp from the quadrant [6].
(g) Remove the rigging block from the flap control lever [7].
(h) Move the flap control lever [7] through its full travel a minimum of 5 times. Stop with the flap
control lever [1] in the 1-unit position.
(i) Carefully move the flap control lever [7] forward until you feel resistance.
(j) Measure the distance between the detent pin on the flap control lever [7] and the upstop on
the detent plate.
(k) If the distance is not in the limit of 0.19 ±0.02 inch (4.8 ±0.5 millimeters), then adjust the
cable [1] and the flap control lever [7] again.
(l) Install the clips [2] on the turnbuckles [3].
