2) Put the splined coupling [16] in the coupling sleeve [15].
3) Install the screws [14] to attach the torque tube to the transmission.
4) Install lockwire on the screws [14].

WARNING: DO NOT RETRACT THE POWER DRIVE UNIT PAST THE RIG MARK IN THE UP
DIRECTION. YOU CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO
EQUIPMENT.
(a) Use the manual drive on the flap power drive unit [17] to retract it to the retracted position.
NOTE: The flap power drive unit is in the retracted position when the black rig mark on
the cable drum [12] extends past the white cable guard [13] a minimum of 0.03
inches (0.76 millimeters) on each side.
(b) Use an adapter, SPL-1679 on the torque tube couplings inboard of the tee-angle gearbox to
retract the left and right wings to the retracted position.
NOTE: The flap drive systems for the wings are in the retracted position when the
ballscrew nuts are 1/2 turn +/- 10 degrees from the upstop on the yoke.
1) Retract the flap drive systems until the ballscrew nuts for transmission No. 4 and
transmission No. 5 are approximately 1/2 turn from the upstop on the yokes.
2) Make sure the distance from the upstop for transmission No. 4 and transmission No. 5
are the same in the limit of 0.10 inch (2.54 millimeters).

(8) Connect the torque tubes [18] to the flap power drive unit [17]:
NOTE: This will connect the flap drive system for the left wing to the right wing.
(a) Apply grease, D00633 to the coupling sleeves [15].
(b) Put the splined coupling [16] in the coupling sleeve [15].
(c) Install the screws [14] to attach the torque tube [18] to the power drive unit [17].
(d) Install lockwire on the screws [14].

(9) Make sure the torque trip indicators on the transmissions are set.
H. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
