(6) Do a test of the air mode inhibit function of the FSEU [1]:
(a) Use the PSEU to simulate air mode. To simulate air mode, do this task: Put the Airplane in
the Air Mode, TASK 32-09-00-860-801.
NOTE: It is only necessary to simulate air mode with system 1.
(b) Push the ON/OFF button on the front panel of the FSEU [1] to turn it off and then on.
(c) Make sure that INHIBIT: IN AIR shows on the display window on the FSEU [1].
(d) Use the PSEU to return the airplane to ground mode. To return the airplane to ground
mode, do this task: Return the Airplane to the Ground Mode, TASK 32-09-00-860-802.
(e) Push the ON/OFF button on the front panel of the FSEU [1] to turn it off and then on.
(f) Make sure that INHIBIT: IN AIR does not show on the display window on the FSEU [1].
H. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

TRAILING EDGE FLAP BYPASS VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the trailing edge flap bypass valve assembly
(2) An installation of the trailing edge flap bypass valve assembly
(3) A removal of the trailing edge flap bypass valve and valve motor
(4) An installation of the trailing edge flap bypass valve and valve motor
(5) A removal of the trailing edge flap bypass valve motor
(6) An installation of the trailing edge flap bypass valve motor.
B. The trailing edge bypass valve assembly includes the valve housing, the bypass valve and the
bypass valve motor.

A. General
(1) This task includes the removal of the bypass valve assembly as a unit. The bypass valve
assembly includes the housing, the valve and the valve motor.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THE DOWNLOCK PINS ARE INSTALLED ON ALL THE LANDING GEAR.
WITHOUT THE DOWNLOCK PINS, THE LANDING GEAR CAN RETRACT AND CAUSE
INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) If the downlock pins are not installed in the nose and main landing gear, do this task: Landing
Gear Downlock Pins Installation, TASK 32-00-01-480-801.

(2) Do this task: Trailing Edge Flap System Deactivation, TASK 27-51-00-040-801.

(3) Remove the pressure from the system B hydraulic reservoir. To remove the pressure, do this
task: Hydraulic Reservoirs Depressurization, TASK 29-11-01-860-802 or Hydraulic
Reservoirs Depressurization, TASK 29-09-00-860-802.

E. Trailing Edge Flap Bypass Valve Assembly Removal

(1) Disconnect the electrical connector [5] from the bypass valve assembly [4].
SUBTASK 27-51-02-020-002
(2) Disconnect the hydraulic lines [1] from the bypass valve assembly [4]:
(a) Put a container below the bypass valve assembly [4] to hold the hydraulic fluid.
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic lines [1] from the bypass valve assembly [4].
(c) Install caps on the hydraulic lines [1] and plugs in the hydraulic ports.

(3) Remove the flap bypass valve assembly [4]:
