SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO
PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Use a hydraulic service cart to supply system B hydraulic power, do this task: Hydraulic System
A or B Pressurization, TASK 29-11-00-860-801.
NOTE: It will be necessary to control the pressure output of the hydraulic service cart.
E. Flap Priority Valve Test
SUBTASK 27-51-00-860-043
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS. THE FLAPS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO
PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Move the flap control lever to the 10-unit position to extend the flaps.
NOTE: Wait for the flaps to get to the 10-unit position.
SUBTASK 27-51-00-730-005
(2) Reduce the pressure output from the hydraulic service cart to 2400 psi (16550 kPa).
SUBTASK 27-51-00-720-007
(3) Do a check of the time necessary to retract the flaps to the 5-unit position:
NOTE: The flaps will retract slowly with the hydraulic pressure reduced.
(4) Do a check of the time necessary to retract the flaps:
(a) Move the flap control lever to the 5-unit position.
NOTE: The flaps can make noise while they retract slowly.
(b) Make sure the time necessary to retract the flaps is a minimum of 59 seconds.
NOTE: It is not necessary to wait more than 1 minute for the flaps to retract.
(c) Increase the pressure output from the hydraulic service cart to 3000 psi (20685 kPa).
NOTE: If the flaps are not in the 5-unit position, they will retract much faster.
SUBTASK 27-51-00-720-008
(5) Do a check of the time necessary to retract the flaps to the UP position:
(a) Move the flap control lever to the UP position.
(b) Make sure the time necessary to retract the flaps is 17 to 22 seconds.
