F. Inboard Flap Outboard Track Removal
NOTE: Make sure you support the flap track while you disconnect it.
SUBTASK 27-51-15-480-002
(1) If you will use the adapter, SPL-1733, install it on the flap track assembly [1]:
(a) Install the adapter, SPL-1733 on the flap track assembly [1] approximately 35 inches (89 cm)
aft of the track attach fitting.
(b) Put a low profile hydraulic jack, COM-1568 below the adapter, SPL-1733 to support the flap
track assembly [1].

(2) Disconnect the forward end of the flap track assembly [1] from the track attach fitting:
(a) Remove the bolts [13] and washers [12] that attach the failsafe fitting assembly [14] to the
track attach fitting.
(b) Remove the nut [17], washer [16] and fuse pin [15] from the forward end of the flap track
assembly [1].

(3) Disconnect the aft end of the flap track assembly [1] from the structure:
(a) Remove the bolt [8], washer [9], washer [10] and nut [11] from the outboard side of the flap
track assembly [1].
(b) Remove the bolt [7], washer [6], washer [4] and nut [3] from the inboard side of the flap
track assembly [1].
(c) Measure the thickness of the shim [5].

(4) If you will install a new flap track assembly [1], remove the transmission attach fitting
assembly [2] from the flap track assembly [1]:
(a) Remove the bolt [19], washer [26] and nut [24] that attach the forward end of the
transmission attach fitting assembly [2].
(b) Remove the bolt [20], washer [21] and nut [22] that attach the aft end of the transmission
attach fitting assembly [2].
