2) Loosen the nuts [91] and adjust the length of the links [92].
NOTE: Make sure you can see the threads through the inspection hole in the links
[92].
3) Install the bolt [93], washer [94], washers [95], washer [96] and nut [97] to attach the link
[92] to the lower fixed panel [41].
4) Tighten the nuts [91] on the links [92].
(e) Do this task: Trailing Edge Flap System Reactivation, TASK 27-51-00-440-801.
(f) Retract the trailing edge flaps to the retracted position. To retract the flaps, do this task:
Retract the Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-804.
(g) Do this task: Trailing Edge Flap System Deactivation, TASK 27-51-00-040-801.
(h) Make sure the mismatch between the lower surface of the main flap assembly [6] and the
lower fixed panels [41] is in the limits.
SUBTASK 27-51-21-220-003
(10) Make sure the seals [42] on the lower fixed panels [41] are compressed against the leading
edge of the main flap assembly [6] (Figure 502).

(11) If the seals [42] are not compressed against the main flap assembly [6], adjust the position of the
seals [42] (Figure 504):
(a) Do this task: Trailing Edge Flap System Reactivation, TASK 27-51-00-440-801.
(b) Extend the trailing edge flaps to the get access to the seals [42]. To extend them, do this
task: Extend the Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-803.

(c) Do this task: Trailing Edge Flap System Deactivation, TASK 27-51-00-040-801.
(d) Loosen the bolts [98] that attach the seals [42] to the lower fixed panel [41].
(e) Adjust the position of the seals [42].
(f) Tighten the bolts [98] that attach the seals [42].
H. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(1) Install the aft fairings on the flap supports:
(a) Do this task: Outboard Flap Outboard Support Aft Fairing Installation,
TASK 27-51-28-400-802.
(b) Do this task: Outboard Flap Inboard Support Aft Fairing Installation,
TASK 27-51-28-400-804.

(2) Do this task: Trailing Edge Flap System Reactivation, TASK 27-51-00-440-801.
SUBTASK 27-51-21-860-007
(3) Retract the trailing edge flaps to the retracted position. To retract the flaps, do this task: Retract
the Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-804.
