(2) Remove the forward fairing assembly [1]:
(a) Remove the bolts [5] that attach the forward end of the forward fairing assembly [1].
(b) Support the forward fairing assembly [1] and remove the bolts [3] and washers [4] that
attach the forward fairing assembly [1] to the fairing attach fitting [13].
(c) Lower the forward fairing assembly [1] until you can get access to the nuts [11] on the
jumper wires [23].
(d) Remove the nuts [11] and washers [12] that attach the jumper wires [23].
(e) Remove the forward fairing assembly [1].

(3) If it is necessary, remove the fairing attach fitting [13]:
(a) Remove the bolts [8] and washers [9] that attach the fairing attach fitting [13] to the
transmission attach fitting [10].

(1) If it is not installed, install the fairing attach fitting [13] on the transmission attach fitting [10]:
(a) Apply primer, C00259 to the mating surfaces of the shim [7].
(b) Put the fairing attach fitting [13] and shim [7] in their location on the transmission attach
fitting [10].
(c) Apply compound, C00528 to the bolts [8].
(d) Install the bolts [8] and washers [9] to attach the fairing attach fitting [13].
(e) Install lockwire on the bolts [8].
SUBTASK 27-51-18-420-002
(2) Install the forward fairing assembly [1]:
(a) Connect the jumper wires [23]:
1) Lift the forward fairing assembly [1] until you can put the jumper wires [23] on the studs.
