5. Inboard Flap Inboard Track Installation

(1) This task is applicable to the flap tracks at flap supports No. 4 and 5.

F. Inboard Flap Inboard Track Installation
SUBTASK 27-51-15-420-007
(1) If they are not installed, install the transmission attach fitting [53] and link assembly [45] on the
flap track assemblies [41]:
(a) Install the transmission attach fitting [53]:
1) Put the transmission attach fitting [53] in its position on the flap track assemblies [41].
2) Install the bolt [60], bolts [64], washers [61] and nuts [62] that attach the transmission
attach fitting [53] to the flap track assemblies [41].
3) Install the pins [63] in the nuts [62].
(b) Install the link assembly [45] on the flap track assemblies [41]:
1) Put the link assembly [45] in its position on the flap track assemblies [41].
2) Install the bolt [72], washer [69], washer [70] and nut [71] to attach the link assembly [45]
to the flap track assemblies [41].
3) Tighten the nut [71] to 290-510 pound-inches (32.8-57.6 newton-meters).
4) Install lockwire between the nut [70] and the washer [71].
5) Install the bolt [68], washer [65] and nut [67] in the bolt [72].
6) Tighten the nut [67] to 30-60 pound-inches (3.4-6.7 newton-meters).
7) Install the pin [66] in the nut [67].

(2) If you will use the adapter, SPL-1733, install it on the flap track assemblies [41]:
(a) Install the adapter, SPL-1733 on the flap track assemblies [41] approximately 20 inches (50
cm) aft of the track forward attach fitting.
(b) Put a low profile hydraulic jack, COM-1568 below the adapter, SPL-1733 to support the flap
track assemblies [41].

(3) Connect the forward end of the flap track assemblies [41]:
(a) Put the flap track assemblies [41] in its position on the forward attach assembly [50].
(b) Install the bolt [51], washer [54] and nut [58] that attach the flap track assemblies [41] to the
