(1) Open these circuit breakers and install safety tags:

(2) To get access to the stabilizer trim motor [1], do this step:

(1) Remove the stabilizer trim motor [1]:
(a) Disconnect the electrical connectors [2] from the stabilizer trim motor [1].
(b) Remove the nuts [6], washers [5], and bolts [4] that attaches the stabilizer trim motor [1] to
the stabilizer trim actuator [3].
(c) Remove the nut [9], washer [8], and bolt [7] that attaches the stabilizer trim motor [1] to the
stabilizer trim actuator [3].

(d) Remove the stabilizer trim motor [1].
(e) Put a cover on the mounting pad to keep unwanted materials out of the stabilizer trim
actuator [3].

(1) Remove the cover from the mounting pad.
SUBTASK 27-41-71-160-001
(2) Make sure that the mating surfaces of the stabilizer trim motor [1] and the stabilizer trim actuator
[3] are clean.

(3) Fill the internal spline of the stabilizer trim actuator [3] with grease, D00633.
SUBTASK 27-41-71-420-001
(4) Install the stabilizer trim motor [1]:
(a) Engage the splined shaft of the stabilizer trim motor [1] with the internal spline of the
stabilizer trim actuator [3].
(b) Install the bolts [4], washers [5], and nuts [6].
(c) Install the bolt [7], washer [8], and nut [9].
