(c) Install a G28019-3 screw clamp assembly on each refuel/jettison manifold drain valve (two locations).
NOTE: It is also possible to remove the manifold drain
____ valves and install rubber stoppers to plug the manifold. Put a tie strap around the manifold and rubber stopper.

Determine which fuel tank will be pressurized and which tank you will go into to look for leaks.
(a)
If the reserve tank will be pressurized, do these steps:
1) Go into the adjacent outboard main tank through the applicable main tank access door (AMM 28-11-02/401): a) 552GB - No. 1 main tank b) 652GB - No. 4 main tank
2) Remove the removable ribs, mid spar access door, or partial ribs to get access to the tank end structure.
(b) If an outboard main tank will be pressurized, do these steps:
1) Go into the adjacent reserve tank through the applicable reserve tank access door (AMM 28-11-02/401): a) 553AB - No. 2 reserve tank b) 653AB - No. 3 reserve tank
2) Remove the removable ribs or partial ribs to get access to the tank end structure.
H. Prepare the Reserve Tank (No. 2 or 3) for the Pressure Check (Table 602)

Do these steps to install tooling in the surge tank (View A):
(a)
Open the applicable outboard surge tank access door (AMM 28-11-03/401): 1) 555BB - left wing surge tank 2) 655BB - right wing surge tank
(b)
Go into the surge tank.
(c)
Install the G28019-2 cap assemblies (2 locations), to cap off the two aft vent tubes.

Do these steps to install tooling in the reserve tank (View A):
(a)
Open the applicable reserve tank access door
(AMM 28-11-02/401).
1) 553KB - No. 2 reserve tank
2) 653KB - No. 3 reserve tank
(b)
Go into the reserve tank. 1) Remove the coupling from the forward vent line. 2) Install a G28019-6 stopper (#10 rubber stopper) into the
outboard section of the forward vent tube.

(3) After you have installed all of the tools go out of the surge and reserve tanks.

I. Prepare the Outboard Main Tank (No. 1 or 4) for the Pressure Check (Table 603)

Open the applicable No. 1 or 4 main tank access doors
(AMM 28-11-02/401).

Go into the applicable No. 1 or 4 main tank.

Remove the mid spar access door for the tooling located forward of the mid spar (AMM 28-11-25/401).

Install a G28019-4 float clamp (sponge), on top of each float valve called out in Table 603 (Views C, D and F).

Install a G28019-5 stopper (tapered rubber stopper), into the bottom of each drain valve called out in Table 603 (View C, E, F and G).

Install tooling in the vent line (View G):
(a)
Go into the main tank through the applicable access door: 1) 546AB No. 1 main tank 2) 646AB No. 4 main tank
(b)
Go through the mid spar access hole.
(c)
Remove the fuel baffle rib.
(d)
Go through the rib access holes to get to the fuel vent line at WS 748.
(e)
Remove the coupling from the vent line.
(f)
Install a G28019-7 stopper (#14 rubber stopper) into the aft section of the vent tube.
