(1)
Do these steps to prepare the replacement valve body (6) for the installation:
(a)
Prepare these components for an electrical surface bond (SWPM 20-20-00) (View B): 1) Mating surface of the valve body (6) 2) Mating surface of the mounting bracket (4) at the valve
body
3) Mating surfaces of the mounting bracket (4) (four locations) at the forward and aft support brackets (11) (four locations)

(b)
Position the bolts (10) and the washers (9) (four locations) that attach the valve body (6) to the mounting bracket (4) (View B).
NOTE:____Install the bolts before you go into the fuel tank. Do not tighten the bolts.
(c)
Apply alodine 600 to any bonding areas not covered by the electrical faying surfaces (AMM 51-21-04/701).

Go into the fuel tank.

Do these steps to install the valve body:
(a)
Prepare the mating surfaces of the forward and aft support brackets (11) for an electrical surface bond (SWPM 20-20-00) (View B).
(b)
Put the valve body (6) and the mounting bracket (4) in position.
(c)
Engage the splines of the adapter shaft (5) and the valve body (6).
(d)
Make sure the index marks on the shaft and the valve body align (View C).
(e)
Position the bolts (1), washers (2), and nuts (3) (four locations) that attach the mounting bracket (4) to the support brackets (View A).
