Install the Transfer Valve Actuator for the Main Tank

Prepare these surfaces for an electrical surface bond
(SWPM 20-20-00):
(a)
Faying surface of the index plate and valve actuator.
(b)
Faying surface of the bonding jumper and bonding jumper tab.

Make sure the manual override lever on the actuator is in the closed position.

Hold the actuator into its correct position.

Engage the shaft that has splines with the adapter plate.

Install the socket-head cap screws and the washers (4 locations) that attach the actuator to the index plate.

Tighten and attach a lockwire to the cap screws.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THERE IS SUFFICIENT CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE MANUAL
_______ OVERRIDE LEVER AND THE ADAPTER PLATE AND THE INDEX PLATE LOCKWIRE. IF THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT CLEARANCE WITH THE MANUAL OVERRIDE LEVER, IT CAN CAUSE THE VALVE NOT TO OPERATE AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ACTUATOR MOTOR.

Look for clearance between the manual override lever and the adapter plate.

Connect the bonding jumper to the lug of the actuator with the bolt, washers, and nut (SWPM 20-20-00).
