NOTE:____ This step will open the scavenge system float valves in the No. 2 and 3 main tanks (at nominal ground attitude, 0.5 degree nose down, 0 degree roll - wings level).

(4) Put these boost pump switches to the ON position: (a) MAIN 1 FWD (b) MAIN 1 AFT (c) MAIN 4 FWD (d) MAIN 4 AFT

(5) Let the pumps operate for 30 minutes.

(6) Do a check of the fuel quantities: (a) Make sure the No. 2 main tank fuel quantity does not increase. (b) Make sure the No. 3 main tank fuel quantity does not increase. (c) Make sure the fuel quantity in the center wing tank does not increase.

(7) Put these boost pump switches to the OFF position: (a) MAIN 1 FWD (b) MAIN 1 AFT (c) MAIN 4 FWD (d) MAIN 4 AFT

G. Fuel Scavenge System Inboard Main Tank Float Valve Operational Test

(1) Defuel or transfer fuel to make sure that the fuel quantity in the center wing tank is between 1000 and 4000 lbs (500 and 1800 kgs (AMM 12-11-01/301, AMM 28-26-00/201).
NOTE: This step opens the scavenge system float valves in the
____ center wing tank (at nominal ground attitude, 0.5 degree nose down, 0 degree roll - wings level).

(2) Add or transfer fuel to make sure that there is a minimum of 70,000 lbs (32,000 kgs) of fuel in the No. 2 and 3 main tanks (AMM 12-11-01/301, AMM 28-26-00/201).
NOTE: This step closes the scavenge system float valves in the
____ No. 2 and 3 main tanks (at nominal ground attitude, 0.5 degree nose down, 0 degree roll - wings level).
