WING SURGE TANK DRAIN CHECK VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This section supplies instructions for the removal and the installation of the check valve on the drain line.
B. The check valves are installed on the end of the drain lines in the surge tank. The check valves are found at the outboard rib of the inboard main tanks.
C. Access to the check valves is through the access doors 545BB and 645BB.

(1) Defuel the applicable inboard main tank (AMM 28-26-00/201).

WARNING:_______OBEY ALL THE FUEL TANK PURGING AND ENTRY PRECAUTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE PRECAUTIONS, YOU CAN CAUSE AN INJURY TO A PERSON AND YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE.

Remove the fuel in the fuel tank and prepare to go into the fuel tank (AMM 28-11-00/201).

Loosen the coupling and remove the check valve.

Discard the O-ring.
