Install the gasket on the valve mounting flange.

Put the valve and the gasket into the position on the vent tube or the stringer mounting flange.

(2) S 434-029Do these steps to install the fuel vent drain valve: (a) Install the gasket on the valve mounting flange. (b) Put the valve and the gasket into the position on the vent tube. (c) Install the bolts and the washers (2 places) that attach the valve to the mounting flange.
(3) S 864-022Get out of the fuel tank and close the fuel tank (AMM 28-11-00/201).

FUEL VENT FLOAT VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains instructions to remove and install the fuel vent float valve as one unit or to remove and install the poppet and float assembly. The fuel vent float valves are referred to as the float valves in this procedure.
B. Usually it is necessary to replace only the poppet and float assembly on the float valve.
C. The float valves are found in each fuel tank, attached to the vent tubes in the wing tanks.
D. Access to the float valves is through the fuel tank access doors installed in the lower skin of the wing and the front spar of the center wing tank.
